Tomorrow: Secretary Chu to Participate in New Millenium Nuclear Summit

Washington, DC - Tomorrow, December 7, U.S. Secretary of Energy Steven Chu will participate in the New Millenium Nuclear Summit along with White House Advisor Carol Browner, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Chairman Greg Jaczko, and members of the U.S. Congress as well as members of industry, labor and non-governmental organizations. The forum on the future of nuclear energy in the United States is being hosted by Third Way and the Idaho National Lab.  U.S. Senators Tom Carper and George V. Voinovich are honorary co-chairs of the event.

Secretary Chu to Visit Google Headquarters During Trip to San Francisco

Washington, DC - During a visit to San Francisco tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 22, U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will visit Google, Inc. headquarters to participate in a fireside chat with company employees to discuss the Obama Administration's vision for a clean and renewable energy economy. While at Google, Secretary Chu will also participate in a series of briefings with company researchers and scientists to learn more about the company's innovative ventures in the energy sector.

Energy Secretary Chu to visit Cincinnati and Massillon, Ohio

WASHINGTON - U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu will travel to Ohio on Thursday and Friday to visit Cincinnati and Massillon. On Thursday, Secretary Chu will be joined by Congressman Steve Driehaus at the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College to learn about the school's workforce training efforts in renewable energy, energy audit, and sustainable building, and participate in a demonstration of a home energy audit.
