EPA Released the EJ 2020 Action Agenda

Today EPA released the EJ 2020 Action Agenda! This is the culmination of almost two years of public engagement, hard work, and planning but I am very proud to share with you the final version of the strategy. I am confident this reflects a large step forward for EPA, and as long as we work together with stakeholders like yourself, we will continue to advance environmental justice within EPA and throughout the country.

I also was hoping you could help us get the word out about the release of the plan, as the more people that are aware and engaged, the more we can gain momentum and build on the foundation that EJ 2020 is laying. Here is a blog post from Administrator McCarthy talking about the importance of EJ 2020, as well as our press release, and a fact sheet. We also have this video, The Promise of EJ 2020, in which EJ stakeholders weigh in on what it will take to put this strategic plan into action.

Please help us get the word out on social media and through your networks. It’s important for us to generate momentum and excitement around EJ 2020 so we can keep things moving forward, bring more people into the conversation on environmental justice, and start the process of making progress towards the ambitious goals laid out in the strategy. Thank you for the great work you are doing on behalf of our country’s overburdened communities, and we look forward to working together with you in the coming months and years on these critical issues.
