The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Tribal Energy Program, and Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) are pleased to continue their sponsorship of the Tribal Renewable Energy Webinar Series.
The webinar will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mountain time.
The growth and pace of the renewable energy market will be driven by many factors, including awareness and concern over remaining non-renewable resources, the need for imported energy and the security issues surrounding that need, and government support and financial incentives. Participants will hear how these factors and new technologies and applications may impact the future market. This webinar will also inform Tribes and other participants on the current status and market trends in both the compliance and voluntary markets, such as options available for procuring renewable energy, what claims can be made with each type of purchase, and how can Tribes operate in renewable energy certificate markets, either as buyers or sellers.
