The Administration for Children and Families Office of Community Services and Administration for Native Americans invite you to participate in two pre-application webinars introducing the 2013 Native Asset Building Initiative (NABI) funding opportunity. During these webinars, you will learn:
- Details of the 2013 NABI funding opportunity, including application requirements and how to leverage additional funding
- Proven strategies to strengthen financial literacy and wealth creation among low-income Native populations
- How to design and manage a successful asset building project in a Native community.
The first webinar, held on May 23, will develop a sense of the significance of asset building for Native communities, and the tools that can foster asset building, such as Individual Development Accounts. It will introduce the NABI funding opportunity, including eligibility entities, expected outcomes, and sources for the non-federal cash contribution. Participants will hear from a current grantee about their experience operating a NABI project and the impact it has had on their community. The second webinar will be held on May 30.
