Sandra Bruce - Assistant Inspector General for Inspections
Ms. Bruce became the Assistant Inspector General for Inspections in November 2009. She has full leadership responsibility for all aspects of the programs, operations, and policies of the Office of Inspector General's Office of Inspections. Ms. Bruce leads a professional staff located in four geographical locations.
Prior to joining Department of Energy's Office of Inspector General, she worked at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). While with NGA, Ms. Bruce established its first Inspections Office with national responsibility in the areas of program reviews, inspections and intelligence operations. Also, from 1980 to 2003, she served as an auditor with the U.S. Army Audit Agency and the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General holding various staff and leadership positions. Ms. Bruce holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Fayetteville State University. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University. Ms. Bruce has received numerous awards throughout her career, including Awards for Excellence from the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency and the former President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency.
