Order 3690: American LNG Marketing LLC

FINAL OPINION AND ORDER GRANTING LONG-TERM, MULTI-CONTRACT AUTHORIZATION TO EXPORT LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS IN ISO CONTAINERS LOADED AT THE HIALEAH FACILITY NEAR MEDLEY, FLORIDA, AND EXPORTED BY VESSEL TO NON-FREE TRADE AGREEMENT NATIONS

Based on a review of the complete record and for the reasons set forth below, DOE/FE has concluded that the opponents of American LNG Marketing LLC’s application to export LNG from its Hialeah Facility have not demonstrated that the requested authorization will be inconsistent with the public interest, and finds that the exports proposed in those applications are likely to yield net economic benefits to the United States. DOE/FE further finds that American LNG’s proposed exports should be authorized at a volumetric rate not to exceed the capacity of the facilities to be used in the proposed export operations and subject to other terms and conditions discussed below.
