2015 Presidential Rank Awards

Secretary Ernest Moniz has announced that Fossil Energy's (FE) Bob Corbin, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Petroleum Reserves, is one of 11 leaders from the Department of Energy (DOE) selected to receive a 2015 Presidential Rank Award. 

Corbin is responsible for providing executive leadership and program direction in the management and operation of DOE’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve, the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve, and the environmental remediation of the Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserves.  Prior to this role, he managed the Natural Gas Regulatory Activities Program in the Office of Oil and Natural Gas.

The Presidential Rank Awards are the nation's highest civil service awards.  They’re given to those who have demonstrated sustained, extraordinary performance and achieved notably outstanding accomplishments. 

Government executives are selected for the award based on significant and lasting contributions they’ve made to the agency’s effectiveness, and a demonstrated record of outstanding professional, technical, and/or scientific achievements at a national and international level.
