DOE Issues Request for Information for Los Alamos National Laboratory Legacy Completion Cleanup Project Post Fiscal Year 2016 Acquisition Planning

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center today issued a Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) seeking interested parties with specialized capabilities necessary to successfully perform all or a portion of the elements of scope for a potential upcoming competitive Environmental Management (EM) procurement(s) for legacy cleanup projects at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), hereafter referred to as “Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Completion Project – Post Fiscal Year 2016 Contract(s)” and to further determine whether or not all or a portion of the work can be set-aside for small and disadvantaged businesses.

DOE Names Oak Ridge Cleanup Manager

Oak Ridge, Tenn. – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced today the selection of Sue Cange as the manager of the Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (EM). Previously, Cange served as the acting manager of EM’s Oak Ridge Office since May 2014, and she has served as the deputy manager since March 2011.

Energy Department Issues Draft Request For Proposal for Nuclear Regulatory Commission Licensed Facilities Procurement

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Licensed Facilities procurement. The NRC Licensed Facilities procurement is one of the four procurements that resulted from the Idaho Site Office of Environmental Management Post FY 2015 Acquisition Planning.

Energy Department Awards Cooperative Agreement to Mississippi State University

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a cooperative agreement to Mississippi State University, Institute for Clean Energy Technology (MSU-ICET), to continue research efforts in the evaluation of High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filters (HEPA) and other technologies to enhance nuclear safety in the defense waste complex. The total value of the cooperative agreement over five years is $5 million. The project period of the cooperative agreement will be from January 20, 2015 through January 19, 2020.

Energy Department Awards Small Business Contract for Support at the Portsmouth Paducah Project Office

Cincinnati - The Department of Energy today awarded a task order to Sage Energy Trading LLC of Jenks, OK to supply the required quantity of natural gas on a daily basis through the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company to the interconnect of the vendor and Portsmouth site (PORTS) for final use.
