More than 180 people attended the Women of Waste Management Panel and Networking Reception at the Waste Management 2014 Conference on the safe management and disposition of radioactive waste and radioactive materials in Phoenix earlier this month. At the reception, EM contractor Fluor Corporation, which sponsored the event for the fifth consecutive year, presented a check for $10,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The foundation’s Heather Story Steiness, a breast cancer researcher, said the donation will be used to support the pursuit of international research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
