Acting Assistant Secretary for DOE Office of Environmental Management Visits Hanford - First Visit, Commemorates Completion of Major Recovery Act Project

Media visit requirements to be completed by 2 p.m. today:

  • This visit requires badges and an RSVP by 2 p.m. today by email to at Washington Closure Hanford. You must include in your email (for badging purposes) your full name exactly as it appears on your driver’s license, confirm you are a U.S. Citizen, your date of birth, as well as the name, address, and phone number of the company you are representing.

Requirements for the day of the visit (Monday):

  • You must bring a photo ID that matches the name you provide for the badge, and for safety reasons you are required to wear over-the-ankle boots with a substantial sole and pants or slacks (i.e., no shorts or skirts).

What: Tour of major Recovery Act project completion and brief media availability (group availability) with the Acting Assistant Secretary

Why: To visit a recently completed $100 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project and speak briefly with the new Acting Assistant Secretary for Environmental Management, David Huizenga
