DOE Releases Draft Request for Proposal for Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract

Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC) acquisition. A contract that primarily includes cost-plus-award-fee contract line items for the purpose of continuing the legacy cleanup mission is anticipated.

EST VALLEY, N.Y. – EM announced that the contractor at its West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) cleanup earned $250,000, or nearly 85 percent of the available fee award of $295,495 for the six-month period ending Feb. 29 this year.

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a grant to the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) of Carson City, Nevada for “Programmatic and Regulatory Oversight, Monitoring and Analysis at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and Surrounding Locations”. The program will provide programmatic and regulatory oversight of the DOE Waste Management Project at the NNSS.

DOE Awards Research and Systems Engineering Task Order

Cincinnati – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today awarded a task order to the MITRE Corporation, of McLean Virginia. MITRE will provide research and development in support of DOE’s Office of Environmental Management. The task order has an approximate value of $1.176 million, with a performance period of 12 months.

Paducah and DUF6 Award Fees Determined for Three Prime Contracts

LEXINGTON, Ky. – EM has completed final performance evaluations of two prime contractors in support of deactivation and decommissioning of the former Paducah gaseous diffusion plant. In addition, the operations contractor for EM’s two plants that convert depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) to a more stable form at the Paducah, Kentucky and Portsmouth, Ohio sites received its annual fee determination.
