In case you missed it, last Thursday’s White House Solar Champions of Change and Solar Summit shed a spotlight on all the amazing work that solar innovators around country are doing to speed deployment and make it faster, cheaper and easier to go solar! The progress made over the last three years toward the SunShot goals is something we are all excited about and in just four weeks, we look forward to welcoming the entire solar community to the SunShot Grand Challenge Summit 2014.

The Summit is quickly approaching and seats are filling up fast. Register now to join the best and brightest in the solar industry in sunny Anaheim, California to exchange ideas on tackling the next grand challenges in solar energy. The SunShot Summit provides a forum for more than 300 SunShot awardees (past and present) and solar innovators interested in joining the SunShot community to network and discuss how to make solar energy more affordable and accessible for Americans.

Summit program highlights:

Opening Reception and Networking Event -- On May 19, SunShot will open the four-day Summit with a networking event from 4pm to 7pm PT in the Technology Forum. SunShot’s director, Minh Le, will kick off the Summit. Following the kick off remarks, attendees will be able to meet the whole SunShot team and view numerous interactive technology demonstrations.

Pitch for Solar -- On May 21, SunShot invites big thinkers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to share their big ideas to help address the challenges to greater solar deployment. At this session, pre-selected participants will have the opportunity to make five-minute business pitch presentations to an expert panel of judges and receive valuable feedback on their idea. Pitch submission instructions are now available.

Workshops -- On May 22, SunShot will host various interactive workshops and discussions on important solar topics. View the workshop topics and descriptions.
