This webinar presented materials from DOE’s Building Technologies Office’s March 11-12 Buildings Interoperability Technical Meeting in Seattle, where industry and other experts discussed the emerging transformation of buildings into interconnected systems of devices, as inspired by Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives, as well as next-generation automation concepts and challenges. The webinar reviewed the current interoperability landscape, presented key conclusions from industry presentations, and summarized significant points from working sessions. These outputs will subsequently be used to help craft a vision for the interoperability of connected buildings and equipment.
