See how organic materials are used to create biofuels, reducing dependence on foreign oil and creating jobs.

Fuels made from organic materials, or biomass, could replace much of the oil we import to power our nation's transportation systems and industries. That's why the Energy Department is working with partners to identify and develop economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable feedstocks for biofuels production here in the United States.
