September 9:  Live Webinar on Successes of the Superior Energy Performance Program

Webinar Sponsor:  Superior Energy Performance (SEP) program

The Energy Department will present the second in a series of case study webinars to highlight the successes of facilities that have achieved Superior Energy Performance (SEP) program certification. These facilities have fully implemented the ISO 50001 standard and have been independently verified to have improved their energy performance significantly, with some facilities achieving up to 30% improvement over three years. This webinar will highlight the experience of HARBEC Inc.'s Ontario, New York, facility in achieving platinum-level SEP certification in November 2013 and improving their facility energy performance by 16.5% over three years, saving over $52,000 annually with no capital investment. HARBEC has aggressively pursued alternative energy sources including renewable energy and combined heat and power. This case study will demonstrate how the SEP M&V Protocol was able to effectively model this diverse energy supply and to demonstrate a meaningful measure of energy performance improvement.
