Promoting Combined Heat and Power (CHP) for Multifamily Properties, 2008

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) developed preliminary feasibility (Level 1) screening software and enlisted the DOE CHP Regional Application Centers (RACs) to help run utility data and estimate paybacks. This paper describes the software and provides case studies of CHP installed in multi-family housing (e.g. Cambridge, Mass.; Danbury, Conn.).
