On May 27, 2015, the National Nuclear Security Administration issued a Preliminary Notice of Violation (WEA-2015-04) to Los Alamos National Security, LLC for violations of the Department of Energy’s worker safety and health program requirements relating to a chlorine release event at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
