Review of Radiation Protection Program Implementation at the Idaho Site

This report documents an independent review of radiation protection program implementation at the Idaho Site that was conducted by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Safety and Emergency Management Evaluations, which is within the DOE Office of Health, Safety and Security (HSS).  The review was performed September 4 to 7, 2012, and was carried out within the broader context of an ongoing program of targeted assessments of radiation protection program implementation across the DOE complex at sites that have hazard category 1, 2, and 3 nuclear facilities.  The purpose of this Independent Oversight targeted review effort was to evaluate the flowdown of occupational radiation protection requirements to work planning, control, and execution processes.
