Course Description: The briefing will give first level supervisors/managers a broader range of information that will enable Department of Energy supervisors to follow proper procedures and control compensation costs. The briefing will provide information on the topics related to the supervisor’s responsibility when employees file a claim, the types of claims, medical and monetary compensation involved in covering the injured worker. The training will also cover the Power Initiative to get employees back to work and the agency’s responsibility in reducing lost productivity days and monetary cost related to long term disability due to lack of a suitable job offer by employing agency.
