Course Description: This course is designed to address the importance of the prevention of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the DOE workplace, as well as to inform DOE federal employees about the DOE equal employment opportunity complaint process.
Requirements: In accordance with DOE Order 311.1B, Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Program, this course is required for all supervisory and nonsupervisory DOE federal employees.
Audience: All DOE/NNSA federal employees at Headquarters. Field office federal employees: contact your local EEO/diversity office for instructions on how to fulfill this training obligation. This course is NOT intended for contractor employees.
Instructions for accessing the course: This course will be available through the DOE Online Learning Center (OLC). DOE federal employees can access the OLC from Employee Self Service (ESS) without a separate username and password.
1. Log onto ESS .
2. Under the ESS menu bar, click Training > Access Training > Online Learning Center (OLC). The Welcome to the Online Learning Center page will open. Click the Connect to OLC button at the bottom of the page.
(Note: if you haven’t logged into the OLC within the last 6 months, this feature will not work because you are required to reset your password. In this case, you must access OLC
3. You will then be directed to the Online Learning Center News page. The 2014 DOE Harassment Prevention course will appear in the New and Featured Courses from DOE section. The course will also be assigned to your To-Do List on the Welcome page. To start the training, click on the course entitled 2014 DOE Harassment Prevention.
4. Once you have completed the course, check your Completed Work in the Home section of the OLC to confirm completion of the course. You may print your certificate of completion. To do so, click the Completed Work tab in the Home section, place the mouse over the course title for a few seconds, and click on Print Certificate.
