OCFO - 2014 Professional Development Webinars

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is pleased to announce that registration is open for our FY 2014 series of professional development webinars.  OCFO will conduct over 30 webinars on topics such as accounting, budgeting, internal controls, performance management, appropriation law, and corporate systems.  These webinars will be provided at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, and attendees receive continuing education credits. 

The OCFO Professional Development webinars will be conducted from February through October.  The complete schedule of webinars is available on the iPortal at Office of the CFO Webinar Information.

Attendees will participate via a WebEx link that will be sent out before the webinar.

WHO MAY ATTEND:  The webinars are open to both federal and contractor employees.  Contractors/contractor employees should first consult with the contracting officer representative for their contract before attending the course while on duty under a DOE contract.  Up to 200 attendees may participate in each webinar.

COSTS:  There is no cost to attend the webinars.

HOW TO REGISTER:  Attendees can register in WebEx by following these instructions:
1. Open Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
2. Type https://usdoe.webex.com.
3. The “Welcome” screen will appear.
4. In this search box, enter “CFO Webinar”.
5. A listing of all scheduled CFO Webinars will appear.
6. Select the session you plan on attending and select “Register”.

Once you register, you will receive an email from messenger@webex.com with the session information.  A reminder will be sent 24 hours before the webinar.  You may register up to 1 day before the session, if spaces are available.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (CPE) CERTIFICATION:  The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
