Powerpedia Based Silent Auction

December 6, 2012 7:00PM EST

UPDATE: the Powerpedia Silent Auction has been extended by three weeks. Bids will end on November 15th for previously bid on items, but a second round of auction items will be added with an end date of December 6th.

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is pleased to announce DOE's first-ever online Combined Federal Campaign silent auction. Powerpedia was selected as the platform for the CFO Silent Auction to provide maximum exposure and competition for our auction while fostering greater familiarity with Powerpedia, a powerful knowledge sharing application. The items offered for auction represent a juried selection from CF donations.

Official 2012 DOE CFC WebsiteAfter signing up for a login, bidders can edit the Powerpedia pages to place a bid. By clicking on the "Edit" link on the upper right of the item listing, a bidder types in their name, email and bid as indicated. Powerpedia provides a history of edits by date, time and user to eliminate the possibility of discrepancies. While Powerpedia is available 24 hours, please place bids after hours or during lunch time (anywhere from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm).

Bidding will close at 2:00 pm EST on November 15. The person with the highest bid will win the item at the bid price. Following payment, the winning bidder is responsible for securing the item from the contact person associated with the item by November 26.

All donations will go to the CFC General Fund unless the donor completes the necessary CFC Form and designates the charity of their choosing, available from CFC keyworkers. Proceeds of all the items to be sold will be donated to the event.
