You can learn about the Energy Department’s work and power outages support on the Energy.gov/Sandy webpage. For questions about power restorations or to report a power outage, contact your local utility company.

The Google Crisis map, shown above, has power outage information, shelter and recovery centers, local emergency Twitter feeds, FEMA disaster declared areas and more. It includes toggle able layers so you can find open gas stations and food stores in New Jersey. Google also has a crisis map for New York City.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management has also published a list of open gas stations, hotels and pharmacies and is encouraging people to use the hashtag #NJOPEN to report up-to-the-minute information.
