Need more time to submit your application for the DOE renewable energy loan guarantee solicitation? Not to worry – today Secretary Steven Chu announced that the Part I application deadline for the July 2009 energy efficiency, renewable energy and advanced transmission and distribution technologies solicitation has now been extended to October 5, 2010.
“By extending the time applicants can file, we will be able to support additional projects that diversify the country’s clean energy mix and strengthen our economy,” said Secretary Chu.
The extension gives companies six more weeks to apply for a Recovery Act-funded loan guarantee under Section 1705. The Part II application deadline is still December 31, 2010. For more information about this solicitation and the Department’s Loan Guarantee Program, visit www.lgprogram.energy.gov.
