This Friday, April 20, at 10:45am ET, join us for a conversation with Secretary Steven Chu on the environmental benefits of transitioning to a clean energy economy. As part of the Energy Department's Earth Day celebrations, Secretary Chu will host a livechat -- taking questions from in-person and online audiences -- which we’ll stream on Energy.gov.
The Energy Department works to build programs that not only support clean energy jobs and the economy, but will leave the planet in better hands for the next generation. For example, we are on target to double renewable energy production, are investing in clean vehicles that protect the environment from harmful emissions, and are conducting research on hydropower technologies to make them more environmentally friendly.
To participate in Friday’s event, you can submit questions -- starting today -- by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org, posting them on DOE's Facebook page, or tweeting @energy with the hashtag #AskEnergy. You can ask additional questions live during the event on Friday.
See you on Friday!
