Climate Change Science Program to Issue Report on Climate Models
WASHINGTON, DC -- On Thursday, July 31, the U.S. Climate Change Science Program (CCSP) will hold a press conference call on the release of a report on climate models. The report describes computer models of the Earth’s climate and their ability to simulate current climate change. The report is the 10th in a series of 21 reports to advance climate science research. The Synthesis and Assessment Product 3.1 “Climate Models: An Assessment of Strengths and Limitations” was coordinated by the U.S. Department of Energy.
The report and news release will be available Thursday, July 31 at 9 AM EDT on ClimateScience.gov and Energy.gov, respectively. Then, at 12 PM EDT authors and government officials will be available to discuss the report.
