Acting Deputy Secretary Kupfer in San Antonio to Honor Small Businesses

WASHINGTON, DC – On Wednesday, June 25, 2008, U.S. Department of Energy Acting Deputy Secretary Jeffrey Kupfer will deliver remarks at the Department’s 9th Annual Small Business Conference, Business Expo and Matchmaking Forum.  Acting Deputy Secretary Kupfer will join Director of the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization Theresa Alvillar-Speake to honor outstanding members of the diverse DOE small business community.

The conference, themed “Small Business, Big Ideas; Think Clean Energy, gives small businesses an opportunity to learn more about DOE; network with DOE Prime contractors from across the country; attend plenary sessions with senior DOE procurement officials and seminars focusing on Contracting Opportunities, Teaming, and Small Business Innovative Research; engage in the Business Expo, and participate in the $1 billion Matchmaking Forum.
