U.S. Secretary of Energy to Celebrate Earth Day at Camp Lejeune

WASHINGTON, DC – On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel W. Bodman will deliver remarks at an Earth Day celebration at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Camp Lejeune, NC.  Secretary Bodman is expected to highlight a new initiative to help military bases across the country increase energy efficiency, save money and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.  This new initiative will contribute to the Administration’s comprehensive energy strategy of increasing the nation’s energy security by reducing our reliance on foreign oil and stopping the growth of greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
